Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Upon arrival at Chinggis Khan International Airport in Mongolia, you will meet your Michid Mongolia crew and transfer to a hotel, conveniently located in downtown Ulaanbaatar. The tour starts to the Gandantegchilen Monastery to see the chanting of the Buddist monks followed by visits to old monasteries left from the communist purge of the 1930s. Gandantegchilen is the biggest active monastery in Mongolia. Visit Central Square you will see a big statue of the national pride Genghis Khaan and revolutionary hero Sukhbaatar except for hearing some stories about the area. From here we will go to the National History Museum which tells the rich history of Mongolia. Drive to a war memorial on Zaisan to see panoramic views of Ulaanbaatar. Return back to Hotel.

In the morning, we will drive from Ulaanbaatar to Dundgovi province, Ikh gazriin chuluu, and one of the country’s major tourist destinations. Ikh Gazriin Chuluu is a beautiful rock formation in the gobi desert. Ikh Gazriin Stone covers more than 20km long area consisting of north and south parts. There are many special rocks named for their features of their shapes and figures such as, Uvgun Chinghis (Old Chinghis), Lusiin ezen (Lors of the Sea), Khaan Khatan Hoyor (king and queen), Zagasnii am (mouth of fish), Camel rock, Mother’s womb and Penus rock. There are over 40 caves in the area and they are easy to access and close to each other, making it ideal for hiking. One of the caves named Olgii, according to local people used to be full of mysterious books and scriptures.

Continue the tour to Baga Gazariin Chuluu, a zone of granite stone mountains; the highest peak is called Takhilgyn Khavtsal 15 km long and 10 km wide granite stone-mountain elevated at 1768m above sea level and worshiped by local people for years. There are also over 20 kinds of medical herbs like burnet, many kinds of world rare animals like marmot, ibex and mountain sheep. It has been keeping some historical remains such as ruin of a monastery, and ancient tombs.

After breakfast, we will go ahead to Yol valley situated in the “Three beauties of Gobi” Mt. National Park. Yol valley is located Dalanzadgad city. After our vehicle brings us to a designated parking area, we will walk through the resplendent valley into the depths of a sheer rock canyon, which accepts no sunlight. Therefore, it has ice until the end of June. The hiking continues 1 to 2 hours for travel into the valley and back to the vehicle. Visit the trek through the valley.

We will drive from Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain National Park, Yol valley to Khongor sand dunes the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. This impressive white sand dunes stretch more than 180km and highest point is around 300m known as Duut Mankhan. Afterwards, we will make a little excursion to a beautiful green oasis of Seruun Bulag near the Khongor River and sand dunes. Then, take a little drive to the highest point of sand dunes known as Singing Dune and climb up to the Duut Mankhan.

Drive to Khermen Tsav, in translation it means as “cracked wall”. Going through the Khermen Tsav seem like travelling through ancient city ruins with many religious stupas and temples. This area was bottom of the ancient sea and now is wonderful geological exhibition. The American archaeologist Roy Chapman Andrews named Khermen Tsav "The end of the World."
Not only the foreign visitors, but the Gobi desert locals also amaze it and say it the real Gobi. Fossilized dinosaur skeleton, insects, birds, tortoises, and plant species found here made the Gobi desert renowned.

Ongi was established in 1660 and composed of two temple complexes on the North and South banks of the Ongi river. At its peak, Ongi monastery grounds housed around 30 temples, 4 big Buddhism universities and over 1000 monks at a time. On the way, we will horse riding, camel riding, and visit an authentic local nomad family. There we have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions.

In the morning, we will drive from Ongi Monasteryto Kharkhorin, a soum, and one of the country’s major tourist destinations. Historically known as Karakorum, which was an ancient capital of Mongolia Empire founded by Genghis Khan in 1220. Also, Karakorum was one of the most important cities in the history of the Silk Road. In the afternoon, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about the beautiful ancient Karakorum city and Genghis Khan. Continue to visit the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu, built in the 16th century, with 108 Buddhisim stupas.

Waterfall Ulaan Tsutgalan is located at the historically important Orkhon valley with volcanic rocks in central Mongolia. Waterfall Ulaan Tsutgalan is also known as Orkhon waterfall or Orkhonii Khurkhree. About 20,000 years ago, the waterfall was formed by an exceptional merge of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. It flows from an imposing height of 20 meters and its width is 10 meters. Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall is the largest waterfall in Mongolia. Except for hiking and sightseeing, horse riding, rafting, camping, and nomad life experiences are the options you could try in the picturesque surrounding of the waterfall.

The hot spring surrounded by cliffs and rapid rivers is located between woody hills and breathtaking mountains. The water from this geological spectacle emerges from the ground at 70°C. It is said that the Tsenkher hot spring has healing ability that assist in treating articular diseases and nervous system diseases. The spring is composed of hydrogen sulfide, sodium carbonate, hydro carbonate, sulfate, and fluorite.

This day we will drive to Arkhanggai province, one of the natural highlights of Arkhangai province, the awe-inspiring Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan National Park comprises of two famous attractions. Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake or Great White Lake and dormant volcano Khorgo. According to experts’ research, the Khorgo volcano erupted during the Holocene (8000 years ago) and its hot lavas streamed through its wide valley and halted a stream of a river in the valley, which formed the Terkh White Lake in the end. There are about 33 small extinct volcanoes in surrounding area of the Khorgo and Terkh White Lake. The Khorgo extinct volcano is about 200m tall and its crater depth is approximately 100m with diameter of 400m.

Moron, also called "Murun" is the central town of Khovsgul province in northern Mongolia. In the Mongolian language, big rivers fed by many tributaries is called Moron.After a relaxed breakfast, depart for Khovsgol Lake, which is known as the Switzerland of Mongolia and second the clearest lake in Central Asia. We will explore the town’s life, the market and main port of the town.

Lake Huvsgul is Mongolia’s largest lake and the largest tributary stream of Lake Baikal in neighboring Siberia. The deepest lake in Central Asia and the world’s 14th largest source of fresh water, Lake Huvsgul is 1,645 m above sea level. Mongolia is the best destination for horse riding trip and especially Khovsgol Lake is the best recommended place for this experience. The Lake water is well known for crystal clear blue and surrounded by beautiful lash green deep forest and magnificent mountains. Also, there is a great opportunity to do hiking, kayaking, ride motor moat or just enjoy at wild nature to take photos.

Located in the sum of Khutag-Öndör in the aimag /province/ of Bulgan, Uran Uul /Uran Mountain/ is an extinct volcano whose crater reaches 1686 metres (1,05 mile) above the ground, has 500 metres (0,31 mile) in diameter and 50 metres (164,04 feet) in depth. Also, there is a great opportunity to do hiking, or just enjoy at wild nature to take photos.

After breakfast, our journey will start to the beautiful Amarbaysgalant monastery located in the valley of the Iven River. This monastery registered in the world’s cultural heritage by UNESCO. Full day tour including visit to the beautiful monastery, meet the monks and hike up foothills of Burenkhaan Mountain where huge Buddha sculptures and big stupas stand. The hilltop allows us to see gorgeous views of the Iven River Valley and the whole monastery. Visit local nomad family to explore their life. Overnight in camp
